Our Mission

For institutions that are looking for a way to recognize the valuable work that Resident Assistants contribute to the institution and community at large, Rho Alpha Sigma offers a dynamic and engaging honorary society.

 

We provide an outstanding program that promotes excellence and encourages exceptional staff to enter the Student Affairs field.

 

We cater to many titles including Resident Assistant, Resident Advisor, Community Assistant, etc. Each of these live-in positions directly supervise residents in an atmosphere where a strong sense of community is established. The Resident Advisor's responsibility is to engage, maintain, and further develop each individual resident as a part of their respective community.

 

Each year, a designated percentage of the total Resident Advisor population on each campus may be selected for induction into Rho Alpha Sigma! While being a true honorary, each Chapter is also encouraged to engage in service activities that benefit the student staff community, the residence life community, the institutional community, and the community at large.
